The implementation of European Masters in Language and speech at FIT BUT
is parallel with the MSc. study programme of Computer Graphics and
Multimedia and consists of courses, a period of project work or
traineeship in industry (at least 3 months), a summer school and a stay
abroad. The activities of speech and language processing are mainly
carried out by the the
Department of Computer Graphics and Multimedia. The Speech@FIT group is led by
Prof. Hynek Hermansky, everyday's activities are supervised by Dr. Jan
Cernocký. The natural language processing activities are coordinated by
Dr. Pavel Smrz. However, the courses offered for EuroMasters are taught
not only by the members of the Department of Computer Graphics and
Multimedia but also by experts from the Departments of Computer Systems,
Intelligent Systems, and Information Systems.
