ESPRESSO III

The third grant for the Espresso project runs from 1st January 2003 to 31st December 2005.

Introduction

In the latest phase of Espresso, we will look at two ways of improving the modelling power of the linear dynamical models developed in Espresso II:

• learning what inventory of units to model (because phones are probably not optimal for this type of model)
• enhancing the model itself by introducing a finite-state switching process to control the LDM parameters
