INTRODUCTION


An experimental new curriculum in Language and Speech has been developed by 13 European universities and is endorsed by the International Speech CommunicationAssociation and the European chapter of the Association for Computational Linguistics.

Each year, one of the partner universities organizes a Master School. The 4th European Master School on Language and Speech is organised by the UPC. This Summer School takes place in Barcelona from July 7 until July 11, 2003.

Please note that the programme and certainly the schedule are only preliminary and can change. An electronic registration form is available. You should be enrolled before June 5, 2003. There will be no registration fee. Accommodation will be available.
