Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium
Master in Artificial Intelligence
Speech and Language Technology
The University of Leuven has offered a Master's program
in Artificial Intelligence since 1988. Originally, it contained two options:
Engineering and Computer Science or Cognitive Science. In 2000, Speech and
Language Technology (SLT) was added as a third option.
The program is for students who already hold a degree in one of the
AI-related disciplines, such as Computer Science, Engineering, Linguistics, Philosophy,
Psychology and Mathematics. All courses are taught in English
and the program is usually completed in one year but can also be spread over two.
In its first year (2000-2001), the SLT option has eleven students, three of
whom are non-EU citizens.
